European households hold around €440 billion of US tech stock, and the authors say there is less room to cut rates against a crash than in 2000.

Bootstrap Europe exercised the last of its warrants in Sivers Semiconductors (SIVEF) on August 13, taking 1,659,015 new shares at SEK 4.53. With its $12 million convertible loan already turned into equity in July, the only Bootstrap debt Sivers still carries is a $5 million secured loan due 2029.

Bill Ackman buys Netflix (NFLX) again after a $400 million loss
Bill Ackman's Pershing Square disclosed a new Netflix (NFLX) stake in its interim report, four years after selling near the lows for a loss above $400 million.

Coherent beat on revenue and profit and guided higher, its seventh straight beat, capping a clean sweep of AI-optics earnings with Lumentum and Applied Optoelectronics. All three beat. But after a 44% run, Coherent's stock slipped after hours, the same sell-the-news reaction the group keeps showing.

Lumentum beat estimates and raised its outlook after a pre-earnings selloff. Coherent reports next (COHR, LITE).

Bitdeer registered up to $1 billion of Class A shares on Monday, six days after announcing a 16-year, $4.7 billion colocation lease at Tydal. The tenant can walk at 10 years with no fee.

Meta (META) is giving $1 billion to its data center towns. Its capex budget this year runs to $145 billion.
Zuckerberg announced the Future Is For Everyone Fund inside his superintelligence essay on Monday. Meta put the size at $1 billion, against 2026 capex guidance of $130 billion to $145 billion.

Two drone stocks announced NFL deals over one weekend. Ondas (ONDS) got hired. Red Cat (RCAT) bought signage.
Ondas (ONDS) subsidiary Sentrycs will run counter-drone security for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Red Cat (RCAT) signed a Washington Commanders sponsorship. One deal pays the company, the other costs it.

Kratos (KTOS), AeroVironment (AVAV) and Ondas (ONDS) jumped at least 16% in two weeks. All three are still down this year.
Lockheed Martin, Palantir and Kratos all beat estimates and raised guidance inside twelve days, and every drone maker we track gained at least 16% over the two weeks. Kratos and AeroVironment are still the worst performers in the group for 2026.

Meta backed Texas's data center audit. Its $10 billion El Paso project sits outside the grid Abbott froze.
Governor Abbott's office said Meta will comply with the state's data center standards. Meta's largest Texas campus is not on the ERCOT grid, and the Texas Tribune reported the same day that its Fort Worth and El Paso abatements ran through Delaware shell companies. CleanSpark, whose entire 885 MW Texas portfolio is inside ERCOT, backed the audit on its own.
