SK Hynix just became the biggest shareholder of Japan's Kioxia. A deal it signed in 2018 blocks it from taking control until 2028.

Harmonic (HLIT) jumps 18% as broadband growth hits 54% and guidance rises again
Harmonic's first quarter as a broadband-only company beat on both lines. Broadband revenue rose 54% to $133.5 million and non-GAAP earnings were $0.21 against a $0.16 estimate. Management raised its full-year outlook again, and HLIT rose about 18% after hours. The reported net loss of two cents a share was a one-time charge tied to the Video business it sold to MediaKind in June.

Coherent (COHR), Lumentum (LITE) and Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) all beat on earnings. Coherent's stock dropped after hours after reporting.
Coherent beat on revenue and profit and guided higher, its seventh straight beat, capping a clean sweep of AI-optics earnings with Lumentum and Applied Optoelectronics. All three beat. But after a 44% run, Coherent's stock slipped after hours, the same sell-the-news reaction the group keeps showing.
